A brief documentary about two very odd creatures…
It’s rare to see a Dimitris “Groomosaurus Rex” Chavlidis roaming outside its burrow, or “man cave”. A somewhat shy and retiring creature, it is most at home amongst its collected objects and technology, and devotes great time and effort to improving its immediate surroundings. Although a solitary creature, the Dimitris frequently partakes in successful interactions with both native and non-indigenous species, though few enjoy the honour of being invited back to the “man cave”. Those who do are met with surprise, for the Dimitris is fastidiously tidy and highly domesticated, unlike his symbiotic counterpart, the Janet “Bridoraptor”.
The Janet “Brideoraptor” Forbes is native to the British Isles, though can occasionally be found in Europe or further afield. When startled, it emits a high pitched, operatic sound, which is particularly used against its most prevalent enemy – washing up. The Janet spends much of its time creating complex comestible offerings for itself and its mate, the Dimitris Groomasaurus Rex. Recent scholarship seems to suggest some symbiotic relationship with a tribe of Catpeople with whom it abides. Mostly harmless. Occasionally harmonious.
How to reach us, where to stay and what to get us
Welcome to Long Clawson, the small (but long!) village in the county of Leicestershire. Long Clawson is possibly one of the birth places of Blue Stilton Cheese, the survivor of Janet’s early years, and a very beautiful village set in the Vale of Belvoir (pronouced “Beaver” – English, right?!).
We are heading to the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean for booty, plunder and colonial exploration! Help us provision our ship, provide us with ship’s biscuit, and send us off on our adventures in true piratical style! Ahoy, me hearties!
Long Clawson is a small village in the county of Leicestershire, located in the Belvoir Valley. Nearby towns with good travel access include Grantham and Melton Mowbray, whilst Belvoir Castle and other great tourist sites can be found in the area. Come for the wedding, stay for the view!
